To the right-wingers defending Loughner's second amendment rights

The memo that's being passed around reads:

To everyone who is calling for stricter gun laws in light of the tragedy in Tucson, may I offer this little tidbit: If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons make people fat. Remember: Hold the person accountable for their actions, not the means they chose to utilize!

Listen, stupid, nobody is calling for the pardon of Jared Loughner. He horribly broke the law and should be brought to justice. But, we are concerned about the liberal gun laws that made it possible for this nut-job to get his hands on such a weapon. Think about it; by now we are all familiar with the disturbed rantings and action of this 'tard. Clearly, he wasn't a person that should have possessed a weapon and the signs were there.

We on the left don't want to prohibit you on the right to enjoy your gun fetishes. We just want a little more control to be exercised over the crazy dip-shits like Loughner.

Too much to ask? I don't think so.

  1. I am seeing this memo in a different way. It reads to me that a person like Jared who had an agenda to kill Rep. Gabrielle Gifford was going to do it regardless of what the laws says. If the laws where more strict do you feel he would have just walked out of the gun store and said, "Well guess I will just go make pottery." NO! He would have found a way regardless of the laws. The memo is correct in saying that it is not the weapon that is the problem; it is the people who hold the weapon. More laws cannot and will not ever fix crazy.
Also, next time please cite the author of the memo, for all I know it was written by a leftist to stir up crap because we all know they like doing that.

  2. I have no idea who the author is. It just started showing up on various facebook comments. I don't really care to research the origin, right-wingers are mindlessly repeating it so I reacted.

Sure, JL wanted to kill. But, why did society have to make it so easy for him? This kind of tool shouldn't be available to a nut-job like him. It's just that simple. Make it harder for people to kill other people and fewer people will get killed.
